These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of goods via the Formosa Doll website. By placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. Please save a copy for future reference.

Definitions

For clarity throughout these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

  • “Formosa Doll”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the trading name of FARO DIGITAL LAB Ltd. (FDL Ltd), a company incorporated in Hong Kong SAR, which owns and operates this website.
  • “You” or “Customer” means any individual who places an order or interacts with this website.

  • “Custom order” or “Made-to-order product” refers to any item produced to the customer’s individual specifications.
  • “Days” means "Working Days" – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the country of production.

1. General Information

Formosa Doll is a trading name of FDL Ltd., with its legal headquarters in Hong Kong SAR. We operate exclusively online through a dropshipping model and do not maintain any physical warehouse within Europe. All orders are fulfilled directly by our selected manufacturing partners in Asia, chosen for their commitment to build quality, material compliance, and transparent production processes.

These terms and conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in Hong Kong SAR. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

2. Production and Customisation

Production time: Manufacturing each doll may take up to 15 working days. Timelines may vary depending on the brand, selected material, configuration, and current production load.

Pre-shipping confirmation: Before dispatch, we will send you photos of the finished doll for approval to ensure it matches your selections. If you approve the photos, we will proceed with shipment. If you do not respond within three (3) days of receiving the photos (or the stated time in our email), we will ensure the doll matches your original specifications and ship on your behalf.

Requesting changes after production:

  • Minor changes (e.g. wig, eye colour, nail/nipple colour, basic makeup tweaks) will be accommodated where feasible, free of charge.
  • Major changes (e.g. body type, head, vagina type, skeleton, heating, finger articulation, skin tone) may require additional time and fees or may be rejected if production has already progressed.

Customisation responsibility: By ordering a custom doll, you accept responsibility for your own design decisions. We cannot offer refunds or replacements if you're dissatisfied with the appearance due to choices you made during the configuration.

Manufacturing tolerances: Each doll is unique. Minor differences in colour, skin tone, body proportions or texture are considered normal and do not constitute a defect. Product images shown on the website are illustrative only. Colours may slightly vary depending on your screen or device settings.

3. Shipping

Express Air Shipping is handled by trusted international express couriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx). Once your order is confirmed, here’s what to expect:

In-stock dolls: 

  • 2–7 working days
For dolls marked as in stock, we aim to dispatch within 3–7 business days from our warehouses. Dispatch may occasionally be from another location for operational efficiency. Delays are rare and usually under 10 working days, we’ll always notify you if more time is needed. In some cases, head and body shipments may be split to accommodate preferences or packaging constraints.
UK Flag Canada Flag UK & CAN

We’re currently unable to deliver in-stock dolls, as our warehouses are located in Europe and the USA.

UK and Canadian customers can still order any made-to-order doll. These are shipped directly from our workshops in China, with import duties already included in the price.

Please note: parcels may occasionally be reviewed by UK or Canadian customs. If that happens, UK customers may be charged VAT (20%), while Canadian customers may see GST, HST, duties, or clearance fees, depending on the province. Just keep an eye on your inbox for any updates to ensure smooth delivery.

Custom-made dolls shipped from factory:

For custom-made dolls, the full process includes production, quality checks, and shipping. Here's how it breaks down:

  • Production time: 7–20 working days

  • Quality control & your photo approval: 1–3 working days

  • Courier delivery: 7–15 working days

That means on average:

  • TPE dolls: ~20–25 working days

  • Silicone dolls: ~25–30 working days

We ship via trusted couriers like DHL, UPS, or FedEx.

Delays may occur during customs checks, public holidays (e.g. Chinese New Year, National Day, Mid-Autumn Festival), or unexpected disruptions. If anything affects your order, we’ll update you promptly and work with you to find the best solution.

Multi-stage international delivery 

Shipments may be handled by different couriers across regions. It is normal for tracking updates to pause during international transit. This does not mean the item hasn’t shipped or isn’t moving—updates resume once the parcel reaches the destination country.

Customer availability & safe place delivery

You agree to be reasonably available at the time of delivery. If no one is available, the courier may leave the parcel at a "safe place" or with a neighbour, based on local procedures. You accept full responsibility for goods delivered in this manner.

Failed deliveries

If the delivery fails due to incorrect information, unavailability, or refusal to receive the parcel, and the item is returned to us, you are responsible for covering courier and storage fees. We reserve the right to withhold redelivery or refunds until those costs are paid.

Destinations

We only ship to countries where sex doll importation and sale are legal. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that the product is legal in their country or region.

Countries with Stricter Checks on Dolls Under 145 cm with Non-Adult Features

Some countries — including the UK, Germany, France, Canada, and Australia — may apply stricter customs checks to sex dolls under 145 cm that appear overly youthful or lack clear adult traits.

At Formosa Doll, all our models are designed to represent clearly adult figures and are intended solely for adult collectors.

To avoid delays or issues at customs, we recommend choosing dolls over 145 cm with visibly adult features. Always check local regulations before ordering.

Discreet packaging

All items are shipped in plain, unmarked boxes with no logos or explicit references. Receipts and customs labels are also discreet.

Customs and Duties

We offer global shipping with transparent pricing and no hidden fees.

Duties and import taxes are included in the purchase price for EU and USA. Should local authorities impose additional fees, we will support you in resolving any related issues.

Exception:
For shipments to specific countries where Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) is not available – including but not limited to Alaska, Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Cyprus, Hawaii, Iceland, Indonesia, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, Vatican City – orders are shipped under Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms.

In these cases, the customer is responsible for settling any applicable import VAT, customs duties, and handling fees directly with local customs or the courier before delivery.

Tracking

Tracking numbers are typically generated by the courier within 2–4 working days from the start of the shipping process. We work with the fastest and most reliable couriers available (e.g. DHL, UPS, FedEx).

3.1 Appearance and Expectations

We guarantee that our products are authentic and manufactured by the brands advertised. We do not sell replicas or unauthorised copies.

While we strive to represent our products as accurately as possible through images, videos and descriptions, you acknowledge that:

  • Factory photos: For customised dolls, we provide final factory photos before shipment. By approving these, you confirm the doll meets your requested specifications. If you do not respond within the stated time frame, we will proceed with shipment based on our assessment.
  • Colour and material variances: Slight differences in colour, skin tone, texture, or finish may occur due to display settings, lighting, or manufacturing tolerances. These are not considered defects.
  • Measurements and sizing: All height, weight, and dimension data are approximate. Variations may occur due to manual measurements. We do not recommend purchasing clothes or accessories for your doll before delivery.
  • Use of professional styling: Images may feature professional lighting, makeup, and photography. The appearance of the delivered doll may vary slightly from promotional media.
  • Minor imperfections: Due to the handcrafted nature of these products, small blemishes, seam lines, pressure marks, or variation in details such as fingernails, eyelashes, and makeup may be present. These are not considered defects if they do not affect usability.

We reserve the right to inspect any item reported as defective and, if no fault is found, to return it to you at your cost. If a genuine fault is identified, we will propose a suitable resolution.

4. Cancellations, Returns & Order Modifications

Cooling-Off Rights and EU/UK Consumer Regulations

Under both EU and UK consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU and the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you generally have the right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days of receiving the product. However, there are specific exceptions designed to protect health, hygiene, and custom-made goods.

These exceptions include:

  • Products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

  • Sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and have been unsealed after delivery.

This policy exists not only to protect the seller, but also you – the buyer. It ensures that every doll delivered is brand new, unused, and has never been returned by another customer. All dolls not listed under the section "In-Stock Dolls" are manufactured exclusively to order. We do not sell pre-stocked or pre-owned products.

Cooling-Off Rights – Pre-Made Goods Only

If you purchase a pre-made, sealed product (e.g. certain accessories or dolls) that has not been opened or unsealed, you are entitled under EU consumer law to cancel the order within 14 days of delivery. You must send us a clear request in writing at support@formosadoll.com and return the item to the warehouse address provided by us via email within the following 14 days. Please note that you are responsible for return shipping costs.

A full refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, minus any depreciation resulting from unnecessary handling. Please note: once the product is unsealed, for reasons of health protection and hygiene, the right to cancel no longer applies.

Customised and Made-to-Order Products

All custom-built dolls are exempt from the standard right of withdrawal under EU law (Directive 2011/83/EU). Custom products and intimate goods cannot be returned once production has started or the product has been opened.

That said, we do our best to accommodate changes or cancellations. You can:

  • Modify your order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it, within our customisation limits.

  • Cancel your order under the following conditions:

    • Within 24 hours: full refund.

    • Between 24 and 48 hours: 10% cancellation fee.

    • After 48 hours: no refund available. Production has already begun.

Each request is assessed individually. Depending on the production stage, we may offer a store credit, a partial change, or other reasonable solutions. Please contact us promptly if you wish to modify your order.

Faulty or Damaged Products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery, providing detailed photographic evidence. Unless expressly stated otherwise, no ongoing warranty is provided beyond the 7-day damage reporting window outlined below.

📸 To protect yourself, we strongly recommend recording the unboxing process: include the external packaging, interior contents, and the doll itself. This evidence will support your case in the event of a claim.

We will assess the issue with our manufacturing partner. If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will offer an appropriate resolution – this may include a discount, replacement part, repair, or other compensation.

5. Payments

Contract formation

 When you click “Pay Now” at checkout, you make a legally binding offer to purchase. The contract is confirmed once we send an order confirmation via email. If a product is unavailable or cannot be supplied, we reserve the right to offer an alternative or issue a refund.

Accepted payment methods

We accept major credit and debit cards. Additional options such as Klarna (for instalments) may be offered at checkout depending on your location.

Third-party processing

All payments are securely processed through trusted third-party platforms (e.g. Shopify Payments). We do not directly store your payment details on our servers.

Discreet Billing

Your privacy is important to us — and that includes how your payment appears.

Charges will show under a neutral business name with no reference to sex dolls or adult products.

Payments are securely processed by the company managing the Formosa Doll platform, Faro Digital Lab Ltd. On your bank statement, you’ll see a discreet charge from “FDL Ltd”.

All transactions are encrypted and protected by SSL security standards.

If you request an invoice, it will also be issued under the same neutral company name for your privacy.

Our payment providers are PCI DSS compliant, ensuring encryption and data protection throughout the transaction process.

Financing options

If eligible, you may choose to pay in instalments through Klarna or any other providers available on our check-out page. Subject to approval by Klarna and availability in your country.

6. Limitations of Liability

By purchasing from Formosa Doll, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • Use of the dolls is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for injuries, damage, or other issues resulting from misuse, poor maintenance, or unauthorised modification of the product.
  • Our dolls are sold exclusively for personal, lawful, and consensual use. Any use that violates applicable laws, infringes on the rights of others, or involves non-consensual scenarios is strictly prohibited. Formosa Doll disclaims any liability for improper or illegal use of its products.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by third parties (couriers, customs authorities, etc.) or force majeure events (e.g. strikes, natural disasters, pandemics).
  • Our dolls are not substitutes for human beings. We do not promote relational or emotional use, nor do we assign human-like characteristics to our products.

These limitations do not affect your statutory consumer rights.

7. Fraud and Misuse Prevention

We take fraudulent activity and misuse seriously. To protect our business and our customers, the following rules apply:

  • Chargebacks: Initiating a false or unjustified chargeback after receiving your order constitutes fraud. We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback using order history, communication records, shipping confirmation, and inspection proof.
  • Abuse of refund policy: Attempting to return used or altered items, or falsely claiming a product was not received, may result in a permanent ban from future purchases and possible legal action.
  • False claims: Submitting misleading or dishonest information regarding damage, delivery, or product defects will be investigated thoroughly. We reserve the right to report such behaviour to the relevant authorities.
  • One purchase per customer policy: We may, at our discretion, restrict access to individuals who show abusive, dishonest, or exploitative purchase patterns.

  • Discount codes & promotions: Discount codes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash unless otherwise stated. They are valid only until the expiry date and subject to specific terms stated at the time of issue. Misuse may lead to cancellation of your order or refusal of the discount.
  • Add-ons & Accessories: Certain product configurations allow optional add-ons such as voice packs, heating elements, cleaning kits, or storage supports. These options are clearly listed on the product page where available.

  • We believe, at our sole discretion, that continuing the contract may pose a risk to you, us, or others.
  • Payment is not received in full, or there is suspected fraudulent activity.

In such cases, a cancellation or restocking fee may apply depending on the stage of the order.
