FunWestDoll Factory Visit | Cosplay Sex Dolls & Skeleton Innovation
Our FunWestDoll factory visit in Dongguan revealed why they lead in cosplay sex dolls.
From in-house moulds and upgraded skin textures to the new robotic ROS system, every feature was inspected by the Formosa Doll team to confirm their creativity and engineering precision.
Why We Visited FunWestDoll
We had already been welcomed into their offices a while back. This time, we wanted to go deeper into the production space itself. FunWestDoll has a reputation as the leader in cosplay sex dolls, and we wanted to see how they keep pushing boundaries.
We were welcomed by Lily and Jenny from the sales team, together with the factory director. Their openness set the tone for the visit: everything from materials to moulds to QC was on display.
And we were also lucky enough to witness a unique moment: the pre-release photo shoot of Nika, a striking new model with hyper-realistic skin texture that would be launched the week after our visit.

From Office to Factory Floor: First Impressions
The Dongguan facility is organised and alive with creativity. Every area was clean, organised, and set up to keep production moving without a hitch.
Inside the FunWestDoll Factory Floor
We saw every major step of the production flow:
- Silicone and TPE mixing: with high-quality TPE sourced directly from the US, ensuring purity and softness.
- In-house mould making: led by a factory manager with decades of mould expertise.
- Skeleton innovation: we had the privilege of seeing the new skeleton with neck nodding movement for oral just before release (only available on STPE and TPE dolls)
- Packing and QC: each doll undergoes a full check for even the smallest defect, with every stage carefully documented.

Standard EVO skeleton shown to the Formosa Doll team on-site. Without shrugging shoulders, this basic frame doesn't allow fully arm/shoulder motion, we verified how it limits posing flexibility during our FunWestDoll inspection.

With our signature branded gloves, the Formosa Doll team compared two FunWestDoll oral cavities: a standard version with regular tunnel and tongue (left), and the ROS anatomically detailed oral function (right). This side-by-side shows the depth of their design innovation.

What Stood Out Most
- Movable eyelids: A FunWestDoll signature feature that adds subtle expression during photoshoots and brings more realism to everyday use
- Soft silicone cheeks: uniquely tactile, giving the face a supple, natural feel
- Upgraded realistic skin: among the most lifelike we’ve ever seen, with pores, veins and a natural bounce.
- NEW Robotic Neck-Induced ROS system: Oral motion now driven by neck mechanics with adjustable speeds, creating smoother, more precise realism.
- Creative leadership in cosplay: FunWestDoll continues to set the benchmark in themed dolls, blending fantasy with realism.

Innovation Spotlight: Robotic ROS & Cosplay Design
FunWestDoll continues to push boundaries with features like movable eyelids, soft silicone cheeks, and a new upgraded skin texture that shows pores and veins for striking realism.
They’ve also refined their robotic ROS system: where oral motion once depended on waist movement, the new skeleton uses neck-driven motion with adjustable speeds for a smoother, more natural effect.
